About Us
De Kale Kat is situated in the historically rich, quaint little town of Greyton in the Western Cape.
This beautifully decorated home is ideally suited for a family or group of friends.
We offer 4 tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms, large dining and entertainment areas, a splashpool to cool off in the hot Summery days, and 4 fireplaces for the cold winters.
Private garden with large patio, braai and a 3m rustic outdoor table... set against the backdrop of the Greyton Mountains.
Typical Greyton outdoor parking is available.
The owner of De Kale Kat, has added many unique pieces into this house from her time living in countries such as Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda & Kenya.
A variety of her own exhibits, form part of the unique style of this beautiful home.
This well-equipped very stylish holiday home allows guests to prepare private meals or to entertain large groups.

Four individually decorated en-suite rooms with fine Egyptian linen and bamboo towels for the ultimate luxury experience.
With the additional access to the library you can easily unwind on the couch with a good book and glass of wine.
Open Plan Living
The kitchen featuring its own fireplace connects with a lavish central open plan living area with large sliding doors opening to the patio.
This central living area with a huge table and comfortable seating area is ready to entertain at least 12 people with ease around another huge open fireplace.
Outside Entertainment Area
Cool down in the plunge pool after a hot day or enjoy a braai on porch.
We have a built in braai or weber to use as you require for the preparation of your meal.
The elegant, traditional style house in one of the first homes in Greyton built in the late 1800's and was recently renovated and upgraded in boutique hotel chic style.
Area Attractions
We are only a short walking distance from central town, where you will find restaurants, art galleries, local, award winning, artisan chocolate and Soa's delicious coffee.
The location allows activities such as hiking the well known Boesmanskloof hiking trail to Mcgregor, trail running, cycling, shopping or just to enjoy a lovely meal at many fine little restaurants while enjoying a well deserved rest in our beautiful home.
What a gem of a place! We were so delighted the moment we arrived by how creatively and tastefully the house as been designed and decorated.
It is just perfect for a relaxing weekend away, with beautiful bedrooms, a lovely garden, entertainment area and a plunge pool.
Marthie was a fantastic host and did everything to ensure we had an amazing time!
